Make the Switch to
TIB BANK. It’s easy!
Welcome to TIB Bank. We’ve developed the 5-Step TIB BANK Switch Kit, a step-by-step checklist with all the online and printable forms that you’ll need to make the switch from your current bank to TIB Bank. This checklist will help simplify your transition while ensuring your complete satisfaction right from the start.
The TIB BANK Switch Kit is the easy way to change your checking account.
- Open your TIB BANK checking account at your local TIB office.
Learn more about your account choices online or by visiting your nearest
TIB Bank office.
- Stop actively using the account you want to close.
As soon as possible, you should stop writing checks, initiating payments, and using your ATM/Debit Card to allow all transactions to clear and a final balance amount to be determined.
- To establish or switch your Direct Deposit(s) to your new TIB Bank account.
Notify your employer, or other sources that deposit funds into your old account, that you are switching your checking account to TIB Bank. To set up direct deposit, you will need:
Once you have this information, complete the Direct Deposit form and send it to the company(s) that makes the Direct Deposit into your account.
-
To transfer your Automatic Payments such as recurring loan payments, Internet service providers, health club memberships, etc. from your former bank account to your new TIB Bank account, the following items will be needed:
Once you have the necessary information to or transfer your automatic payments,
complete the Automatic Withdrawal Transfer Form and send it to your biller. You
can either print the
blank form or complete the
Online Form and then print it
out.
- Closing your former bank account.
Once your last check, automatic deposits/withdrawals, and automatic payments
has cleared, you are ready to close your former account. To instruct
your former bank to close your account, you will need:
Send the completed form to your former bank and instruct them to forward your funds to your new TIB Bank account.
You’re done!

Choosing the right way to make your payments
Now that you’re switching banks, it’s a great time to consider some options for making your one-time and recurring payments such as your mortgage, cell phone bill, etc.
There are a number of ways to make payments, including:
- FREE Online Bill Pay - It’s absolutely FREE. Make payments online to almost any individual or biller in the United States with our free Online Bill Pay System. And remember, you can arrange to pay recurring bills or reschedule one-time payments up to one year in advance of the due date.
- Debit Card - Any biller who accepts MasterCard® debit cards will take this form of payment. Just provide your Debit Card number and expiration date.
- ACH Debit - Billers, like utilities or insurance providers, will automatically debit your checking account for the amount of the bill. Provide your
account and routing number from your checking account and make sure you have sufficient funds.
- Check - While convenient, paying by check is not recommended for recurring payments.
