TIB Announces Senior Management Promotions
(Homestead) William Uscategui was recently promoted to senior vice president at TIB Bank and is responsible for the strategic planning for all electronic banking products, including oversight of all significant vendor relationships and is the acting Enterprise Senior Project coordinator for the organization. The Bank hired Uscategui in January of 1997 as their product support officer for their Homestead Data Center, which included establishing new electronic products and setting up the Internet banking product known as TIBLINK.

During his tenure with the bank, William was promoted to assistant vice president in 1997 and to vice president in April 2000. In 2008, he was chosen as one of TIB Banks Officers of the Year as well as the Homestead Senior High Schools Mentor of the Year in the take Stock in Children program where he volunteers.

Originally from New York, William relocated to South Miami-Dade 21 years ago and has over 35 years of working in the banking industry.

Michael Welsh was promoted to senior vice president and will serve as senior commercial loan officer for the Upper Keys, Greater Homestead and Florida City markets. His responsibilities include directing and coordinating all activities of the business lending function, cultivate and develop personal relationships with the existing customer base and potential customers. He is skilled in developing credit portfolios for personal, retail and complex corporate accounts including not-for-profit organizations.

Welsh began his banking career with TIB in September of 2001and has played an instrumental role in the growth and expansion of TIB Bank in the South Miami-Dade market. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Homestead, National Wild Turkey Federation, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Center for Minority Studies and the CMS Youth Spelling Bee. Welsh attended Homestead Senior High School and the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with concentration in business finance and a Masters of Business Administration degree specializing in finance and international business.
