Upper Keys Sailing Club Receives Donation from TIB
The Upper Keys Sailing Club celebrated its 21st, ladies only, running of the Presidents Cup, as well as the TIB Regatta held recently in Key Largo from their bayside homeport in Buttonwood Sound. In 1988, Ruth Ackerman, president of TIB Bank of the Keys at that time, founded this prestigious annual sailing event. Since the inception of the regatta, TIB Bank has been its biggest community supporter, contributing over $11,000, to assist the non-profits mission.

Leah Soares White, Fleet Captain, recognized TIB Banks timeless efforts toward supporting the Upper Keys Sailing Clubs mission and presented John Crandon, TIB VP/Commercial Loan Officer and Sharon Berry, TIBs AVP/Sr. Compliance Analyst, as well as the Clubs Secretary, with a plaque in recognition of 21 years of contribution. The Board of Directors and all the club members would like to thank TIB for its continued support. Their annual donation and support allows us to continue our non-profit mission and we greatly appreciate that, stated Leah Soares White.

The sailing club, with over 300 members from around the world, was founded in 1973. Besides offering sailing lessons through their Mark Sorensen Youth Sailing Program, they also support the Coral Shores High School Sailing Club.
